Steve's years of experience as a family law attorney include a keen interest in the value of preserving family relationships. He believes strongly that marital and family disputes can be handled in a manner that will be the least damaging to the family, and include negotiations which will arrive at a fair settlement with emotions on both sides held in check. Steve is experienced at helping attorneys and clients develop creative solutions and find ways through impasse. Bottom line: Saving money and time. A Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator since 1991, and holder of certification prior to that by the Twentieth Judicial Circuit Administrative Order of January, l989, Steve completed Family Mediation Training at Harvard Law School in 1985. He maintains a regular schedule of mediation training, such as Rough Cases/Tough Issues with the Academy of Family Mediators; Advanced Family Mediation Skills Training: Creating Strategies for Success! with the Florida Association of Professional Family Mediators. Co-author of Florida Legal Forms - Domestic Relations, which was published by West Publishing Company, Steve also authored "Hot Tips for Successful Mediations" in The Family Law Commentator for the Florida Bar. Steve was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1979. He received his B.S., cum laude, in chemistry and pre-medical studies from the University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida, in l973.
